The Confetti and Inseromat products are based solely on virgin spruce wood pulp produced from sawmill residues (sawdust and wood chips originating from production of lumber). “Virgin” refers to containing only non-recycled fibres, ie no recycled paper products are used to prepare the products. This is an important distinction as recycled paper products often contain chemical contaminants such as ink residues and mineral oils. Hence virgin products are safe for food contact.
inseroMat sheets are available with varying dimensions, usually unique for each specific grower. Pad thickness is chosen based upon the specific crop and requirements of the post-greenhouse distribution chain. A thicker pad is required for non-refrigerated distribution channels or where higher water holding capacity is required. Thin inseroMat sheets are available for use in indoor tray growing applications on (ebb & flood) benches or in gutters, where watering frequency is not a major concern.
We use this product ourselves for micro green production and supply businesses throughout New Zealand.
We currently supply the 10x20 sheets and are the Inserotech New Zealand distributors.
