Oasis® Growing Media are rigid, open cell-celled, water-absorbing foams specifically designed for optimal callus and rapid root development. Its unique cell structure, which mimics the cellular structure of the plant itself, provides outstanding performance. Oasis® Growing Medium is consistent, with a low cation exchange capacity that allows for rapid nutrient availability without danger of salt accumulation. When a grower receives Oasis® Growing Media it is pathogen-free, providing an environment which reduces disease and insect problems.

Available in various shapes and sizes to meet crop, labour and cost issues, Oasis® Growing Media provide general purpose propagation media for rooting vegetative cuttings. Engineered to hold more water than Oasis® Horticube® hydroponics product, the foam-based media still drains well to encourage the development of vigorous root systems.

The performance of these media is due, in part to the unique cell structure which closely resembles the cellular structure of the plant itself. The composition of the foams gives density (weight) for holding power and capillary action for feeding water to inserted cuttings.These media offer the propagator the following advantages:
